Twinning Ceremony of Leo Clubs of Ipoh Unity, Malaysia & South Kowloon, Hong Kong

It was the fellowship that blossomed during the OSEAL Leo Forum in Hong Kong in 2008 that sparked the idea and thoughts of a twinning ceremony between the Leo Clubs of Ipoh Unity & South Kowloon, Hong Kong!

Communication was never put to an end as there will always be Skype, MSN, emails etc etc... the friendship between members of the two clubs continued for weeks after the OSEAl event.. and the idea came by.. an official twinning ceremony!!!! Firstly, the Leo Club of South Kowloon members flew in for a ceremony in Ipoh with Lion Dignitaries like District Governor Kenneth Saw, Multiple District Chairperson for Leo Clubs Lion Dato' Khoo Kay Huat; District Chairperson for Leo Clubs Lion May Cheah.. to name a few.... witnessing a historical event for Region 3! Many Leos from all over the District also turned up for the event!

A night before the Twinning Ceremony in Hong Kong....
the local Leos organized a Fellowship Steamboat dinner with Lions Club of South Kowloon members, Cabinet officers from District 303 (HK & Macau), Leos & Lions from Ipoh!

Here's me, as the Regional Committee Chairperson for Leo Clubs for
Region 3, representative for District 308B2... I had to give a speech in a mixture of
English and Cantonese... haha.. that was fun.

Leo Club of SMI & Ipoh Metro (O) Celebrated New Year @ KL....

Members of the Leo Clubs of St Michael's Institution & Ipoh Metro (O), spent the last few days of 2008 together.. lepaking and gate crashing at parties and events held in celebration of the new year's! They started out by going to Sunway Lagoon in Bandar Sunway, PJ... Obviously that's bigger than the one in Tambun, Ipoh! Loads of fun & activities that included the wet & dry park! The fellowship that bonded was certainly a great experience for each and everyone of them!

Ipoh Unity Flying Region 3 flag across to Hong Kong!!!!!

The Leo Club of Unity (O), leading Omega Leo Club of Region 3 Perak, once again brought the name of Perak Leos to another level when a few of their members attended OSEAL in Hong Kong recently! Their participation in the event managed to allow people not only from Hong Kong but other countries, recognize the Lion Spirit amongst Leo members from Ipoh Perak! They attended the official events, performed community services there as well as joined in the fun during a few of the fellowship sessions hosted by the locals there!

FELLOWSHIP TRIP TO PENANG....

It was one of those "Lawatan Sambil Belajar" trip for 30 odd Leo Club members....only thing is, this is more of a fellowship + charity trip for them!

Initiated by the Anderson Leo Club of Ipoh, the Fellowship Trip to Penang also saw other Leo Clubs from Perak (Pei Yuan Kampar, St Michael's Institution Ipoh & Ipoh Metro (O)) taking part! The tiring 2 day 1 night trip let the Leos shop at Queensbay Mall Penang, one of the latest shopping malls in the Pearl of the Orient! After checking into their service apartments, they left for the venue for the Pot Luck Fellowship Party where other Leo Clubs like Leo Clubs of Chung Ling High School, Georgetown Mutiara, Convent Dato Keramat, Penang City etc etc also attended.
